Red Skies Project

Date: Friday, 20 January 2012

I had hoped to make this post yesterday, the 19th, but the weather was against me. I had hopes for a lovely red sun rise looking across the field at the back of the village. But as you can see in the first photo below, my plans were dashed as a rather squally shower moved in the from the west. Which is the angry mass of grey cloud below the moon, this had me heading back to the house pretty quick I can tell you. The purpose of this journal entry to was announce one of my new photography projects for 2012, which is titled '99 Red Skies'. The plan is, hopefully, to get a collection of 99 lovely sunrises/sunsets during the year, which will form the basis for an exhibition I have planned for January 2013. Anyhow, as lady luck was looking down on me today I managed to get out and capture some lovely colours in early morning sky this morning, which was Red Sky nº 11. Please check checking back on who the project is going on, I'll be updating the gallery page as and when the skies are captured!

Thursday 19th January - not quite the sunrise I was looking for!

Friday 20th January - Red Sky Nº 11!
