A great way to start the new week, with a spectacular red sun rise. This wasn't a planned photo trip, I just happened to notice the starting of that lovely red glow in the sky as I was putting the bins and recycling boxes out for collection. So I was straight back into the house to grab the camera and tripod. Luckily for me it's only a couple of minutes walk from the house to get down onto the path that runs alongside the River Tees. This gives wide open views across to the east so it's a great spot for sun rises!
