After spending most of the week doing jobs in the office, I thought a nice stretch of the legs was called for. So where did me and Tim Dawg head? Not that far, only up the valley to visit my favourite waterfall, Summerhill Force. The car park was very busy when we got there, not surprising since it was the half term holidays. The funny thing was we only met one person on the walk to Summerhill Force and back. There was a reasonable amount of water coming down Bowlee Beck so I took every opportunity to get some photos of the stream and falls. There are lots of small cascades in the stream which make for some nice shots if you can get the angles right. Especially when there's a lot of colour in the water, as it makes the rocky stream bed look orange. I deliberately didn't take the tripod with me on this visit so it meant I couldn't just stick the camera on it and take lots of long exposure shots. There's nothing wrong in those shots, but I often get stuck in that mode when I'm there and don't experiment enough with other shutter speeds!
