It was just typical, I was stuck in working all day Saturday when the sun was shining and the skies were blue. Now when I was going out to meet up with some friends in Teesdale for a walk the grey skies had come back! It even snowed a little while I was driving up there and through the early part of the walk. Having a layer of fresh snow on the moors sort of compensated for the lack of sunshine. The reason for today's walk was to redo a walk that I first did back in June 2008 with a group of people I'd next through the 'Life for the Outdoors' forum. We'd walked up the river to High Force and then cut over the moors to join the Pennine Way which we followed back to Middleton-in-Teesdale village. Along the way we'd found a shooting hut were we had out lunch. It came up in conversation a few weeks ago about going back to re-visit the 'hut' so the plan was hatched to meet up today. We decided to do the walk in reverse this time, as it would hopefully mean we get there around lunchtime. The hut would would provide some shelter on a cold snowy day like today, unlike last time when we used it as a shelter from the strong sun! The photos from the previous walk can be found here .... 1st NETTY walk

What's that I can see on the other side of the valley, sunshine? Well for about 5 seconds!
