Bowden Bridge car park, the logical starting point for this walk, we were staying at The Sportsman Inn just along the road
Sheena and Tim looked to be enjoying the wet weather!
An old sheep wash at Booth, they used this wash the peat of the fleeces before shearing the sheep
The entrance to Kinder Reservoir
The weather looked to be improving a little as we started along the reservoir path
The cloud had even lifted of the top of Kinder Scout, well for a while!
You can just make out the waterfall at Kinder Downfall on the skyline
The start of the very wet and muddy climb up William Clough
Some of the many small cascades in the gill
Sheena coming up William Clough, note the water running down the path, that's how wet it was underfoot
Looking back towards the reservoir from the top of William Clough
The cloud starting to descend again as soon we we reached here, the wind and rain also seemed to increase as well
We were now on the Pennine Way, left would take us towards Snake Pass
Today we were heading right up onto Kinder Scout
Some of the weird rock formations we passed, there was probably loads more we just couldn't see them
The top of the waterfall at Kinder Downfall, not much to see here either
Sheena and Tim waiting for me to find a safe place to cross the river
The weather hadn't go ant better by the time we reached Red Brook
A very wet me and Tim at Red Brook
We decided to drop down off the tops here and take the lower path to Kinderlow End
After dropping a couple of hundred feet we reached the cloud base and views improved a little
It still looked horrid on the tops so we were glad to have decided on the lower path today
I decided that if I did a 'Sun Dance' the rain might stop?
Sheena and Tim thought I'd gone crazy and walked off and left me to it!
Kinderlow End, here we started back towards Hayfield
The cloud was still clinging to the tops
As we descended through the fields the rain eventually stopped, but I don't think it was my dancing that did it!
Typical, the cloud also lifted off the tops as well, why couldn't it have done that an hour ago?
