The weather was bright and sunny again after the grey skies the previous day. Our plan for today's walk was to head to Crummock Water from the village and walk along the southern shore to Low Ling Crag. From where we wanted to pay a visit to Scale Force, the highest waterfall in the Lake District, which we'd only ever seen in photo's. To complete the circuit of Mellbreak we returned via the delightful, if a little wet places, Mosedale.
It was another beautiful day
The sign post to nowhere in Loweswater village
Looking back at the Kirkstile inn and the village church
There still looked to be plenty of snow on the fells at the top of Gasgale Gill
A view back towards Low Fell, that descent doesn't look that steep from here!
Mellbreak reflections in Crummock Water
We thought we were going to get some amazing reflection shots as we walked along the shore but a slight breeze dashed that idea

Tim took every opportunity to go for a dip in the lake

This is the point where we left the lake shore path and started to climb up to Scale Force

After visiting the falls we headed over into Mosedale

We must be getting close to the cottage, this is almost the same view as from the front door!
There's the Kirkstile Inn, hope it's open I fancy I pint after all that walking!
Mellbreak from the same spot
The tops of the fells catching the last of the sun, looks like it could be a nice day again tomorrow?
