This was the first walk of our four day break in Eskdale, it was also our very first walk in Eskdale, so it was nice to actually have to get the map out to see where we were going and to name the fells we could see. We started the walk from the Hollins Farm camp site, where we camped for the 3 nights of our stay, which is located in the small village of Boot. It was a lovely introduction to walking in Eskdale, nice easy paths and outstanding views from the tarn.
