The route map of our walk
Where else could I start the walk to Armboth Fell from????
The perched boulder at the bottom of Fisher Gill, that AW mentions in his guide book
Looking back down Fisher Gill at the wooded summit of Great How, with Clough Head behind it
Tim seemed happy to be back in the Lakes after his week in Scotland
Looking across Thirlmere at Raise (left), Whiteside and Browncove Crags (right) from near the top of the gill
Once we passed the stone wall we left the path to Watendlath and headed left towards the summit of Armboth Fell
The moorland was very wet after all the recent rains
Looking across towards Helvellyn from one of the 'drier' spots!!!!!!
Eventually the small rocky summit appeared
High Tove and Bleaberry Fell (far right) from the rocky top of Armboth Fell. The cairn seems a bit smaller since our last visit?
Me and Tim on the summit, you can tell he's really interested in been there!
Raven Crag with Blencathra behind from the summit
Looking SW from the summit, Great Gable is the fell in the centre of the photo
Back at the top of Fisher Gill, before we headed back down to the car and then home after a very long but enjoyable week!
