As I turned into the car park next to the beach Tim started jumping around in the back of the car and barking madly. He just loves a run on the beach, and today was no exception. We had really under estimated the weather, the wind was much stronger and colder than we thought, and the heavy showers arrived nice and early as well. We were only about half way along the planned walk by the time we decided that the wind and rain was too much for comfort and turned round and headed back to the car. Tim didn't mind, he just ran round barking and been generally crazy as he always is. Mind you he was well covered in sand by the time he got back to the car, I will definitely be able to build a couple of sand castles in the car by how much sand he left in the boot!
Heading out onto the beach, it was cold as it looked
Tim didn't mind, there was loads of things to keep him busy sniffing!
Looking back along the beach towards Redcar, made famous by the the film Atonement!
Who's a cute dog then?
And a very wet one!
Tim watch out for the waves!
Tim having fun!
There was a little bit of sun before the heavy showers arrived
Tim posing nice for the camera, which isn't always the case
See what I mean?
I spotted these Oyster Catchers before Tim did
Then he managed to scare them off!
Tim had to share the beach with a few others dogs this morning
He wasn't bothered, he just loves to run through the surf!
And the sand ....
As we headed back to the car, the Air Sea Rescue helicopter and a couple of life boats arrived, hope nothing to bad had happened?
