The route map from our walk. The route we had picked followed the track to the north of Hadrian's Wall all the way to King's Wicket. However, when we got to the point where they Pennine Way crossed the path we found that we had to wade through deep mud for about 300 metres. We did have an attempt at it, but Tim got stuck in the mud, so we turned round and doubled back onto the Pennine Way and did an out and back route along the wall.
