Leaving the car park on a quiet riverside path
Beburn Beck runs through the forest

After crossing the river we climbed steeply up through the forest
The 'autumn' is the time for mushrooms, there were loads all over the forest, but as we know nothing about them we left them alone
Route finding was easy, we just followed the 'orange' way marks
As we walked back along the north side of the valley the sun started to break through the cloudy skies

We had to cross Ayhope Beck on our way back to the visitors centre
