Above the waterfalls the path levels out and goes through an area with 
	loads of old spoil heaps, it looked almost lunar!

Our first proper look at the summit of Raise, our path would take us up 
	to the summit of Stakes Pass and then along a ridge coming in from the right 
	on this picture

On the summit of Raise we had a brief bit of sunshine, but it still 
	didn't make it feel any warmer, so Sheena decided it was time for her 
	gloves, but she couldn't quite work out which was left and which was right!

Tim on a very windy and cold Whiteside summit, we had thought about going 
	over onto Helvellyn from here but the conditions were miserable to say the 
	least and there was no view so we turned round and headed back down
